Fabulous Friday
The semester is quickly winding down. Which means I have SO much to do again. Yet, here I am blogging about Fridays. I wanted to share something with you. This video is so inspiring! Hope it's a nice end to your week. If you have seen this, you know what I'm talking about.

1st Sunday in April
The bad news... we didn't win the megamillions. (dammit)
You guys...I can't. (I'm laughing as I write this) What? Used plants? Basically they were herbs..I think? I saw some parsley and lettuce. But I don't get it. Aren't all little plants that are being sold at a farmers market "used" in one way or another? Whatever Santa Fe, do your thing.
AHH! I almost forgot. I'm participating in the mug swap at Suzel Says and I am so excited. I hope you all decide to participate as well. Although I don't drink coffee anymore (per this post) I drink tea all the time and would love a mug to mark my initiation to the blogging world. So please, link up and get involved. I can't wait!
The good news...we had a great Saturday.
We got up Saturday and went to this cafe/diner (find it here) type deal and then went to the Santa Fe Farmers Market. For those of you who know nothing about the farmers market here, it is super hippy-dippy. When I was living in Florida before I moved to New Mexico, I used to think I was a displaced hippy (should've grown up in the 60's). I was wrong. The people that live here are seriously on a completely different level. Don't get me wrong I love walking around and seeing all the delicious fresh veggies and homemade jams and jellies. But sometimes things go too far. For example:
We picked up some eggs and heirloom tomatoes. Naturally we went home and immediately made BLT's. Ya baby. After we ate, we did some yard work and took Roy for a walk through the trail by our house. It was an uneventful but super fun day.
Hope you all are having a relaxing/exciting/special/whatever you need weekend!

Fabulous Friday
I've enjoyed reading numerous blogs that do high five for fridays! Which chronicles your highs and lows of the week. I think I will (try) to include every week 5 high's and 5 low's. Because who am I kidding, I'm not happy all the time.
SO here we go
HIGHS
1. Dinner with two of our friends here in Santa Fe. They came over Wednesday night. Sam made pulled pork in the slow cooker, which smelled absolutely amazeballs when we got home! Then we had a apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Delicish!

2. Sam is getting way closer to finding a job when we finish law school this May. Yay for him!
3. The weather! Holy crap, it has been so nice in New Mexico the past week. I've been able to pull stuff out of my closet that I haven't worn in months. Aka. Linen pants. Amen.
4. We have a dry erase board in our house, mainly used for studying (nerd alert). It's gone unused for the past few weeks until Monday. We decided to write some inspirational words under each of our names. For example, under my name I wrote the words, happy, successful, and smart. In the morning we're supposed to read the board and think of one thing we could do to effectuate that word in our lives. So far so good! On a side note, Roy's name is also up and under it words like faster, toot less (roy makes the most goober toots) and chew more bones.
5. $540 million in the mega millions lottery. Got a ticket. I think the chances are around 1 in 176 million. So it doesn't look good, but a girl can dream.
LOWS
1. I am still in law school. dammit.
2. I still haven't found a job for when law school is over...in MAY (thats like one second away)
3. No number 3. The week was pretty solid.

House or Home?
Sigh. I'm back. My flights took off and landed without any problems. But here I am, sitting in front of my computer trying to do some type of school work that I put off all weekend. I just feel unhappy. I miss my boyfriend and my dog so much while I am out of town. But the second I get back, I just don't feel at home. Will home ever be anywhere but where my parents are? If not, how do people live like that? I pulled some pictures of scenes from houses that give me that "homey" feeling.
How cozy is this bedroom nook?
I could do dishes at that window any day.

Quick Trip
My short and sweet vacation just came to a close. It ALWAYS seems like the things we look forward to the most go by the fastest. I haven't yet decided the perfect amount of time to be home. A weekend is too short, two weeks feels too long. A week should do it. I thought I was ready to leave Florida behind when I moved in June of 2011, I'm just not sure if the Florida in me will ever leave. For example, my seashell earrings, or the feeling of the bright sun on my skin in a bathing suit. I knew I didn't want to stay, but I still struggle with living in New Mexico...maybe it's not the right place. Alas, I must learn to love where I am until it changes. So much harder said than done.
As much I enjoyed my vacation. I brought work and touched 0 of it. I can already feel myself dreading opening the books. I long for the day I'm doing something I actually love. In terms of work that is.
I don't have much to offer today or for the past few days that I've been lacking in the blogging department.
Here are some things I will share...
It is literally SO dry in New Mexico. If you or anyone you know has a dry skin issue. This stuff is like a breath of fresh air every time I put it on. The Clinique website also offers about a dozen different uses for this stuff, including - airports, summers, winters and everything in between. The spray bottle is a spritzer for your face...hello gross airplane rides. Finally.

Relax
Happy Friday everyone!
I feel like each day adds something else to my plate. I've got part of the bar exam coming up on March 17th, and of course a midterm project worth 30% of my grade, and numerous other things that need to be done. Not to mention spring break starts next Friday and I'm headed to Florida for some much needed family time and a bachelorette party. I can do it!!
Alas, my wonderful boyfriend planned a night get-away to the amazing Ten Thousand Waves Spa Resort. Since we're both running off loan money we didn't partake in any spa treatments, but rather just enjoyed each others company with wine, meats and cheeses, snow falling outside and the crackling fire place. My worries were still there in the morning, but what a relaxing night to spend together.

1st Thursday in March
I did it. I ran the google search: how to make your own blog. I clicked the links, I changed some colors, varied the fonts, uploaded a picture. And here I am. Searching for something to say. I should start this blog by saying something about myself, in the off chance someone reads this. I've been living in New Mexico for almost 8 months now. I am in my last year of law school and just like that, it's almost over. I have no idea what I want to do with my legal degree, or if I want to do anything at all related to the law. Hopefully we will all come to find the answer is yes. In the meantime, I'd like to use this blog to post about things that make me happy during the day or anytime at all. I am ready to leave my law school life behind and start living.
I have noticed that I am constantly biting my tongue. I go back and forth, am I just so mean I can't say anything out loud? Am I scared people are going to judge me? Is what I have to say really so important other people must hear it? So many questions regarding why I don't speak up. Today, I want to blame these thoughts on law school. None the less, I am constantly struggling to find my voice. With people I'm close with, one on one, small groups, or large groups.
I found Dr. Tingley's blog and it's all about helping women find the confidence to speak and be heard.
